How to use Ongoing Search

Why should I open an Ongoing Search?

Creating an Ongoing Search is putting yourself on a waitlist for your vacation. Since RCI receives inventory from members two years to two weeks in advance of the travel dates, your dream vacation could be added any day. Snag your perfect vacation by setting up an Ongoing Search. When your dream vacation becomes available, you’ll be the first to take advantage before it’s made available to other members.

Save time.When you start an Ongoing Search, RCI does the work for you. We search 24/7 for your exchange vacation, based on the criteria you enter.

Stay informed. There’s no need to keep going back to check for your requested vacation. RCI will contact you periodically with updates on the search progress and notify you as soon as a match is found.

Get started.Simply tell us about your perfect vacation. You can include dates, destinations, resorts and more! You’ll pay your exchange fee in advance, but good news—it’s fully refundable if we can’t find exactly what you’re looking for. Once a vacation is found, we’ll notify you to book it or release it and continue searching

How does an Ongoing Search work?

Sign into your RCI account from the WorldMark website and search for a vacation using your desired criteria.

If you don’t find the resort you are looking for, click the ongoing search button at the end of the list of resorts.

If you find the resort, but not the dates or unit type that you are looking for, click on the Start An Ongoing Search button at the bottom of a resort you’re interested in from your search results.

Ongoing Search will automatically open with prepopulated criteria based off your search. Then you can add or modify the below criteria:

  • Destination: Search by region, city or specific resort.
  • Click to Change: Customize your search to meet your personal vacation needs. You can specify the TYPE of vacation that appears in your search results, as well as choose to see all available exchange vacations.
  • Date: You can enter a specific date or a travel window.
  • Accommodation: You can narrow your search by number of guests, unit size and check-in day of the week.
