Planning in advance is one of the best ways to get the vacation you want because RCI receives inventory from members anywhere from two years to two weeks in advance of the travel dates. So your dream vacation could be added any day. The earlier you start to plan, the more vacation options you'll have to choose from and the more likely you are to find exactly what you’re seeking.
You should begin your search as early as possible. The earlier you search, the more exchange options you’re likely to find. RCI has a variety of search options to fit the needs of various types of vacation searchers.
- Advanced Search: Allows you to select all of your desired criteria at one time and begin searching.
- Favorites Search: If you generally search for the same type of vacation or resort each time, you can save your desired search criteria as a Favorite Search.
- Ongoing Search: If you can’t find what you’re looking for in your initial search, RCI will continue to search for you, notifying you when a match is found.
- Interactive Map: When you know the destination you have in mind and just need to find the perfect resort, the interactive map is a great tool to use.
- Recommendations: Based on your search history and past travel, RCI will put together resorts matching your interests.
We understand a lot can change in a year or two. That’s why we offer Points Protection*. You may purchase Points Protection for your exchange vacation and have the freedom to change or cancel at any time with no questions asked. If you cancel your exchange vacation, the full allotment of Hilton Grand Vacation ClubPoints used will be returned to you for use toward another vacation. Please note, exchange fees are not covered by Points Protection.

RCI has created three RCI® Award Designations to recognize our affiliated resorts that have demonstrated an ongoing commitment to quality and guest satisfaction, and which have met or exceeded the highest standards.
You’ll see these designations next to the resort name when searching for vacations on the RCI website or when flipping through the directory. You can even filter your exchange vacation search results on the RCI website by award level.
Gold Crown Resort® Award: Select RCI® affiliated resorts are recognized as RCI Gold Crown Resort properties—the highest of the three RCI Award Designations. The RCI Gold Crown Resort award designates resorts that have met or exceeded specific standards in hospitality, housekeeping, unit maintenance, the check-in/check-out experience, plus an evaluation of resort facilities, amenities, and services.
RCI Silver Crown Resort® Award: Resorts that have achieved excellence in providing outstanding vacation experiences for RCI® members receive the RCI Silver Crown Resort award. This award designates resorts that have met or exceeded specific standards in hospitality, housekeeping, unit and resort maintenance, and check-in/check-out experience.
RCI Hospitality Award: The RCI Hospitality Award is presented for consistently high ratings in hospitality and the check-in/check-out experience.
