Creating an Ongoing Search is like putting yourself on a waitlist for your vacation. It’s a simple, hassle free way to look for the vacation of your dreams!

Why should I open an Ongoing Search?

Save time. When you open an Ongoing Search, RCI does the work for you. We search 24/7 for your exchange vacation, based on the criteria you enter.

Stay informed. There’s no need to keep going back to check for your requested vacation. RCI will email you monthly with updates on the search progress and notify you as soon as a match is found. You can even set your Ongoing Search to Auto-Confirm so as soon as your desired vacation is available RCI confirms it for you.

Get prioritized access to member deposited inventory. When you open an Ongoing Search, you get prioritized access to member deposited inventory, giving you a better chance of finding the vacation you want.

How does an Ongoing Search work?

Opening an Ongoing Search is easy. Sign into your account at rci.com/myCW and search for a vacation using your desired criteria. If you don’t quickly find the exchange vacation you're looking for, click on the Start An Ongoing Search button at the bottom of a resort your interested in from your search results. Ongoing Search will automatically open with prepopulated criteria based off your search. Then you can add or modify the below criteria:

  • Destination: Search by region, city or specific resort.
  • Click to Change: Customize your search to meet your personal vacation needs. You can specify the TYPE of vacation that appears in your search results, as well as choose to see all available exchange vacations.
  • Date: You can enter a specific date or a travel window.
  • Accommodation: You can narrow your search by number of guests, unit size and check-in day of the week.

Note: VIP Members do not pay a fee for Ongoing Search. Non-VIP members will pay the exchange fee to begin the ongoing search, but it is returned if a room is not found or the search is cancelled.
